Turai Skin (Janhi chopa) Chutney

Ingredients:

  • Turai Skin: 1 cup
  • Grated coconut: 1/2 cup
  • Tomato: 1
  • Chana dal: 1 tbsp
  • Green chilli: 2
  • Salt: As per taste
  • Tamarind: 1 small piece
  • Tempering materials of your choice

Recipe:

Peel the turai and collect the skin.

Heat oil in a kadai. Add chana dal to it and saute for a while. Add turai skin to it and fry till raw smell goes. Now add green chillies, tomato and fry till tomato softens. Add grated coconut, salt, tamarind to it and give it a stir.

Cool down this mixture completely. Now grind it to a course paste.

Add tempering of your choice to it and enjoy as a side dish with Dosa, Idli or Rice.
