Chilli Kobi

  • Cauliflower – 1 big
  • Capsicum – 1
  • Onion – 1 big
  • Garlic – 10 cloves
  • Ginger – 1 inch
  • Green chilly – 2
  • Corn flour – 2 tsp
  • Tomato sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Soya sauce – 1 tsp
  • Vinegar – 1 tsp
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
  • Oil – 1 tbsp for cooking & 1 cup for frying
  • Chilly powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp chopped.
  • Salt – As per taste

Recipe:

Remove florets from cauliflower. Wash them thoroughly to remove insects.

In a bowl, take all the florets. Add corn flour, salt, ginger-garlic paste,chilly powder and mix properly. Marinate this for 1 hour.

In between chop onion, capsicum into long slices. Chop ginger, garlic and green chilly.

Heat oil in a pan. When it is hot, fry the marinated cauliflower and keep aside. Keep the marinate liquid for further use.

Heat oil inĀ  another pan. Add onion, capsicum pieces, salt and fry for 2 min. Add chopped ginger,garlic, green chilly into it and fry for 2 min. Add tomato sauce, soya sauce, vinegar into it and fry till masala is little done. Add fried cauliflower into the pan and mix properly.

In the marinate liquid, add 1 tsp corn flour and 1/2 cup water. Add this mixture into the pan and cook till the chilly kobi gets right consistency. Switch off the flame. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

Serve with roti or parata.
